








The Periphery team brought on Commplicated to rebrand from their original name and tell a clear story around their technology and narrative for customers and investors. They wanted to stand out from other cybersecurity companies and be distinct.
We developed a new visual identity for Periphery that deliberately breaks with conventional cybersecurity aesthetics. Instead of relying on familiar industry tropes, the brand draws on a rebellious, boundary-pushing attitude that reflects both the team and their technology.
The identity is built around interconnected towers with a central command, a synthwave-inspired color palette, and a graphic system that emphasizes edges, limits, and perimeters. Together, these elements express Periphery’s core idea: protecting IoT devices at the boundary, where digital systems meet the real world.
Periphery launched with a distinct visual identity that clearly separates them from a crowded cybersecurity landscape. The new brand gives them a stronger presence with customers and investors, supported by a flexible design system built to scale as the company grows.
