Magmatic are rethinking how we source critical metals by using synthetic biology to design proteins that bind metals with atomic precision
Strategy

In preparation for opening their seed-raise, Magmatic worked with Commplicated to establish their visual brand identity and messaging strategy to communicate it via a new brand, website, and investor deck.

Design

We designed a brand for Magmatic that represents the dynamic, highly complex problems they work on, and the element of human expertise and intuition needed to make the science work.

We developed a design language that could capture the profound magic of their technology. Leveraging both technical complexity and the elegant precision of their approach.

Result

Magmatic has a new, sharp and slick investor deck and a new website showcasing its brand positioning and messaging. It looks different from traditional mining companies because their business is very different, but still pulls on themes from mining like topographical maps.

It works for both investors and customers by explaining their technology, business case, and vision for a new paradigm for sustainable resource access.
